VetREC is influencing a movement. Veteran research + programs must be community engaged and driven to have impact. Veteran research happening within academia is siloed. Veteran service and program development in community organizations largely lacks data-informed approaches. The VetREC Community is here to change that. Join us to transform the Veteran space and create lasting change in Veteran communities through merging research + practice. Joining is free. You can add premium features to your membership once you're in the community.
You get access to stakeholders who care about Veterans and are doing work to empower Veteran communities. This networking platform (the VetREC Community) is exclusive to members, highly user friendly, and exciting to engage with. Once you sign up and are approved to join, you login and create your personal profile. At that point you can create posts, polls/questions and even events, you can direct + group message other members, you can see what members live near you to form in-person gatherings, and you get access to all the content that's shared within the main network.
There are designated spaces in the community to take action (i.e., find partners, share resources and research, get/give quick feedback, etc.) and to join interest groups (i.e., Veteran employment, mental health, military-connected students, minority Veterans, transitions, etc.).
Finally, once you are in the community, you will have the option to pay for premium features such as gaining access to spaces for sharing information about grant funding resources and events, content and courses on how to increase Veteran engagement, and Veteran research recruitment 101. Ultimately, the VetREC Community is the first virtual space bringing together Veteran-focused stakeholders for the sole purpose of influencing all Veteran research and program/service development to be community engaged.
Community change doesn't happen in silos. Relationships, partnerships, and collaborations are the catalysts for creating lasting, impactful change in the lives of military Veterans and our families. Thank you for being here, for doing the work that has impact, and for being part of this change.
